Every year on the17th April, World Haemophilia Day is recognised worldwide to increase awareness of haemophilia, and other inherited bleeding disorders. This is a critical effort since with increased awareness comes better diagnosis and access to care for the thousands of people who remain without treatment.
This year 2023, Child and Youth Care and partner, Zimbabwe Haemophilia Association participated in a campaign awareness for the commemoration of haemophilia day. Key highlight from the campaign awareness included the dissemination of information about haemophilia rare condition to hard-to-reach areas.
